                                                          WONDERFUL CHILDHOOD

I had a wonderful childhooh growing up, I was born in Brenice, La and moved to Detroit, Mi when I was 2yrs old. Detroit was my home for 20yrs until I married Greg, since I have lived overseas for 12years and loved it, as a little girl I love the book , "Dirty Harry." I think I wanted a dog as a little girl and me and my sisters love to play outside in our back yard. We made mud pies, played on the swing, and when it rained we would put on our swim suits and run around in the rain. Our father would take us to the park to eat watermelon, and to the drive-in to watch movie outside. I believe I always wanted to work with children, because I love to have fun and do different activity with children. I love the way my  children would draw a picture of our family and included pets, when they knew we were not getting any pets because we travel around alot as a military.

  1. As a child I loved playing outside and getting dirty with my siblings also. Unfortunately children today do not spend enough time outside exploring and having fun, in my opinion.

  2. The Passion & Motivation
Dr. Abigail Eliot and Patty Smith Hill shared their passion to enhance the field of Early Childhood, by setting standards and effective practices. They had influences on curriculum, socio-emotional development, healthy regulation, and adopting specialized methods of teachings about including; High/Scope, Montessori, and Waldorf. They were dedicated to improving the wellbeing of all young children quality education, and programs. As children their families encourage them to be independent thinkers, and they shared a life of service to children and teachers.
In lesson two Louise Derman-Sparks speaks of her passion for helping children figure out who they are in the world. Louise express how she knew she always wanted to be a teacher even as child. I think about how I wondered what I would be when I grew up and somehow I knew it would be something to do with children. Louise also shares her joyful experience of feeling complete as she works in the early Childhood profession. She tells of her desires to, “Make sure that all children are taught in an environment in a way that truly nurtures their ability.” Louise Derman-Sparks DVD We should all have some passion about what we do, and it helps to be motivated.
